Beautiful, Gillian. I always associate these blossoms with my mother who, when she was able to visit us, always arrived from England just as the Jacarandas bloomed and who was invariably overjoyed to see the purple explosion. Her advanced age (97) prevents this now but I hope she has lucid moments when she can remember it.
