Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Sunday challenge 61 - Inspired by Shakespeare.

Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye,
Not uttered by base sale of chapmen's tongues
(Princess of France, Act 2 Scene 1)
Love's Labour's Lost

Act 2, Scene 1, Princess of France

Shakespeare wrote of beauty in Love’s Labour Lost, saying “Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye… Margaret Wolfe Hungerford is credited with coining the exact phrase beauty is in the eye of the beholder in her novel Molly Bawn, published in 1878.

Beau travail. Mes faibles connaissances de l’oeuvre de Shakespeare ne m’auraient jamais permis une telle interprétation du défi. Compliments.

Thanks JP. Born in England, I read many of Shakespeare's works at school, and saw some of them performed at our local university theatre, and in London theatres, also a few at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon.
