Yes Andy, it is name of the Monviso from which the Po River is born, which then goes along the entire Padana plain and flows into the Adriatic Sea.

Susa, and the valley, i know it very well, Marie Claire, because i'm traveling when i come to France from Monginevro. To give you some fresh air is very difficult, because even in these days, in my city, i have a terrible heat. ;-)

Che meraviglia,Gian, non tanti posti sono come la nostra Pianura Padana da dove si vedono tutti i monti.

Eh...certo Dany, per fortuna che questa volta che sono salito su questo campanile il cielo era terso, mentre in una volta precdente pioveva e non si vedeva quasi nulla. Peccato solo non essermi portato un'altra macchina fotografica, perchè con solo la compatta con zoom 4x potevo fare ben poco.
Ciao e buona serata, di... caldo bestiale qui da me. Stamattina sono salito ad Oropa sperando di trovare un po di fresco; invece 28° (e...zanzare) pure li, acci......... ;-(
