Bright colours and shiny things

My profile says I like bright colours and shiny things, but I haven't actually posted a lot of photos of them.

I will try harder.

Whoops!

I managed to accidentally delete yesterday's version of this photo while trying to delete a note. I apologize to everyone whose comment I lost. As you may have noticed, my profile says I like bright colours and shiny things, so I decided to make the photo brighter to solve a problem with pert of the ohoto with part of the photo being brighter than the rest. So here it is. I just noticed I created a new flaw but this will be the final version, unless I change my mind. Or what passes for one.

At the dollar store

Snowmobile gloves at the dollar store. It's a Canadian dollar store so they probably cost more than a dollar. I get mine at Canadian Tire -- there's always a rack near the checkout. As I got older my hands suddenly started going numb much quicker in winter, so I switched to these.. This is a re-edit of an older post, but I think I only posted it on Flickr back when Flickr was tolerable.

Happy new bananas!

These colours seemed like a good idea at the time. Maybe they are. But I'll leave that question up to you. I apologize for any discomfort you may experience. You might enjoy clicking on the full screen version and touring the details. Just a suggestion. This was taken on Spadina Avenue in Toronto in April 2016,

I like the full-screen version of this. Not saying you have to.

Gone but not forgotten

Another tribute to Honest Ed's in Toronto. The PiPs at upper left show three more views of the store. Ed's has now been replaced by a Big Bland Box. It's as if there's a conspiracy to banish colour from Toronto. Eugène Atget would have loved this place. More about Ed Mirvish: www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/mirvish-edwin
