I recommend the large version -- click the pic or type Z if you'd like to find out why.

Beatrice Degan(MARS), buonacoppi, tiabunna, Berny and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

Truly excellent!
I've gone on z and on max screen in order to 'find out why' ... and admit to a complete blank, John!

Thanks, Andy. I thought the big version renders the reflection better. Your impression may vary, of course.

Definitely repays the effort of z. There are five different types of boundary here. What does your photograph tell us about property ownership and rights? I thought Canada was a big country of tolerant people nourished by the wide open spaces and a trust in their fellows.

I think the yacht club on the far side of the fence wanted to make sure that buses from the subway station on this side didn't block its path to the back of the building.

The splashes of red catch the eye frist, then you start to appreciate the different patterns the fence makes! Belated HFF, John!

Great distorted reflections. Two walls and a fence. It seems overkill even for a species that is obsessed with boundaries. There is some excuse when packed cheek by jowl but in Scotland there are walls and fences parcelling up deserted hillsides.

As I mentioned to TLC, I think the fence mainly keeps a path to the back of the building unblocked by buses at the subway station on this side.

Is this a lawless squatter ? Just kidding... someone was thoughtful enough to add an important element into your image ! Did you have to patiently wait for the car to place itself into your thought provoking image ? Cheers to you John ! Henry

I'm not above doing that, Henry, but this car was parked there when I arrived. Thanks for the kind words.

Fabulous fence and reflections -- lovely mesh of textures. And of course, the red accents, placed just right.

Thanks, Sarah. Red is automatic composition as far as I'm concerned.

I missed this one yesterday.............Probably due to the time zone difference :-)

I really like the way the wire of the fence has transformed the look of the brickwork, the concrete and the car body-work! I also like the reflections of the red sign. Very well seen and taken John.

A belated HFF. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Thanks, Keith. I, and I suspect many other North American Ipernauts, feel left out because of the time differences. We're at the tail end of the day. Often by the time we get around to posting everyone in Europe is asleep. And of course we, the Australians and the New Zealanders might as well be living in different worlds.

Yes, time zones cause difficulties here too, which is my excuse for a very belated HFF, John. Interesting reflections, I guess from the curve of the bonnet, with one lot right way and the others mirrored.

Thanks, George. For 14 hours a day we're a day behind you, so confusion is understandable. I suppose we could solve all this by moving to the South Pole -- you're the expert on that of course. We couldn't move to the North Pole because of all the troops up there these days.
