Hoarders

Hoarders
There was no bread to be had at the grocery stores because hoarders had picked the shelves clean. Why buy more than you need, particularly of a perishable item? It only means that your neighbors must do without. Hoarders also cleared the shelves of toilet tissue (but not Kleenex) and paper towels (but not paper napkins).

Two days later, bread, paper towels and toilet paper were back on the shelves.

It is incredible what people buy when they are in a panic. The stores here, too, have empty shelves and have been out of certain items all week.

Fortunately it does not (yet) look like this in Switzerland.
Well, such hoarder buys means, that there will be a lot of food waste in around 4 or 5 months when the pandemy (hopefully) is over. :-/

Great capture! The same exists here in NY but the shelves haven't been restocked. I heard in Oregon people are now calling 911 because they ran out of toilet paper! It's time for rationing limits to ensure everyone gets something instead of some people doing without and stop the vicious cycle. This selfish depravity is inexcusable.
