Tombeau de Jahāngīr, Lahore. De son vrai nom Nûr ud-Din Muhammad Salīm (1569, Fatehpur Sikri [Inde] - 1627, Lahore [aujourd'hui Pakistan]), il fut le quatrième empereur moghol des Indes de 1605 à 1627.
La construction de ce tombeau fut dirigée par son fils Shâh Jahân, célèbre pour ses réalisations architecturales et dont le règne est généralement considéré comme l'âge d'or de l'architecture moghole. Il commanda la construction de nombreux monuments, dont le plus célèbre est le Taj Mahal à Agra (1631 - 1648) dans l'État de l'Uttar Pradesh en Inde, mausolée où il repose à côté de son épouse bien-aimée Mumtaz Mahal.

Tomb of Jahāngīr, Lahore. Real name Nûr ud-Din Muhammad Salīm (1569, Fatehpur Sikri [India] - 1627, Lahore [now Pakistan]), he was the fourth Mughal emperor of India from 1605 to 1627.
The construction of this tomb was directed by his son Shâh Jahân, who was famous for his architectural achievements and whose reign is generally considered the golden age of Mughal architecture. He commissioned the construction of many monuments, the most famous of which is the Taj Mahal in Agra (1631 - 1648) in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, where he is buried next to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Le râga (sanskrit राग,રાગ, রাগ) est un cadre mélodique utilisé dans la musique classique indienne. Chaque râga est lié à un sentiment (rasa), une saison, un moment du jour. It is essentially a set of Vedic rules on how to construct a melody that gives a framework for composing or improvising melodies, allowing an infinite number of variations.
