Rawit

Das Rawit, auch bekannt als Thai-Chili oder Piri-Piri, ist eine kleine Chili mit scharfem Geschmack. Dieser Peperoni ist in der indonesischen und thailändischen Küche ein bekanntes Produkt und wird oft zur Herstellung von Sambal oder Curry verwendet.

Ich habe die Samen aus einer Supermarkt-Packung extrahiert und leider etwas spät die neuen Pflanzen davon gezogen. Glücklicherweise hatte wir in diesem Herbst noch keinen Frost, so dass ich heute doch noch ernten konnte.
