Yes youngsters love it, I have noticed here as well. I love the sound of the engines when they pull in to the station. Very nostangic.

Children and adults alike love the romance of steam trains. It is always so exciting to here the whistle and to smell the smoke. I assume this is a heritage line.

Thank you Amelia! Actually, this is a regular network that is indeed mostly operated with steam locos. The network covers the eastern part of the Harz mountain range and has 114 km of tracks. So you can go there any day and can take pics of steam locos - very convenient, if you live nearby ;-)

This, however, is a heritage train. The loco is a regular one, there is about a dozen of this kind in operation, but the wagons are nostalgic.

Our steam railways are running again, but at half capacity, and with other restrictions due to the virus. And unfortunately no special galas... Let us hope next year,
