What is 'Mikado', someone please? A game?
I only know it as the name of a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta.

it's a game with coloured sticks, you drop them on the table so it is total chaos. Then a player has to take one stick from the heap of sticks without moving another stick. Once a stick moves another player takes over and so on until all the sticks have been taken. The colours are a code for the value of a stick. The player ending with the highest total score wins
