Great capture of this take off, HappySnapper. The swan almost looks like its not walking but running on water!
May Andy rejoin us soon at what we all like to do!

A day for geese on Ipernity as mine and Keith Burton also feature them. Like you, my fingers are crossed for Andy.

You've caught the action perfectly here Maurice...............swans are very graceful once they're up and flying, but take off and landing is a bit chaotic!

I'll let you break the news to Herb that this is not a goose :-)))

Thank you Percy, Usually I would be unaware of the swans intention to take flight, the first I would know is when I hear the wings beating on the water. The most exciting part is when I swing round to find the action and bring the camera into focus. I was lucky this time as the swan was quiet a way out and not hard to lock on to, I was able to fire off about six shots once airborne.
