Prague architecture (#0654)
Not one of the more famous pieces of Prague architecture, but it caught my eye – Vodičkova St, #31. Per the link below, it was built in 1883 but refaced in a cubist style in 1922 -- the building is on a very busy street, near where one exits from having visited the Lucerna Palace (more pictures on that later).
The diversity of 19th and 20th century architecture in Prague was quite impressive. If I go back, my preference would be with an extensive guidebook of the architecture that included discussions of the cultural factors that were influencing that architecture – and to go at a time when it would be easy to stop on the streets and reflect on the architecture and period (so, next time will be winter again...).
