Berlin Soviet War Memorial Treptower Motherland (#2651)

As you first enter the Soviet War Memorial in Treptower park, you come across this figure of a woman with head bowed. It seemed odd for a war memorial, particularly since there was no explanation. Per the Wikipedia this figure represents the Motherland (the USSR) weeping for the sons lost in the WW II.
