fledgling 2924

Day two of the fledgling, and possibly the final. He/she somehow made it up to an old air conditioner (no longer used) and started to stretch its wings. A couple of times it opened its mouth for food, and its parent was nearby but didn't respond. The lack of response might have been connected to the fact that after a couple of stretches, the fledgling then flew about 8 feet to a wall next to the parent.

I wish I could've gotten more pictures of its first attempts to fly (yesterday) and of the parent feeding it, but they just didn't cooperate!

Today's photos are taken through a window, with the fledgling standing on an old air conditioner that is covered by a jasmine.
