Mogollon Rim 2279a

I had read a number of times about the Mogollon Rim and the spectacular scenery in the area. From what I could tell, the best views were from Rim Road which is a gravel road off of AZ-87 north of Strawberry, AZ. Various websites had suggested that the road was gravel and graded and generally easy to drive. My own experience was that it was relatively rough, though the views were indeed spectacular.

I have wanted to see the Mogollon Rim for 20 years, but I've never made it down there. I've only ever been in Arizona twice, though I should rectify this in a few weeks. This scenery does look spectacular.

I'm glad I did it and the scenery is spectacular, but I probably won't do it again. There isn't much easily accessible evidence of the human history along the rim, which is what's important to me. It's also hard to frame a photo due to the vastness.

Same problem for me, it was hard to photograph with what I had. You're better with very wide vistas, so hopefully you'll get there.
