Big Bend NP, Santa Elena Canyon 2649a

One fortunate thing about the river tour being there was that it showed several of us how easy it was to cross this small channel. Just past the lead guide is a sandy area leading to a path up the canyon wall -- the railing of the path are barely visible over the head ot the second guide. Crossing this channel was odd felling since there were rocks under a few inches of very soft, oozing, mud. But, the deepest it got was just above my knees.
