Malibu Creek State Park 2195a

Malibu Creek State Park is about a 40 minute drive from central LA and 6 miles north of Malibu, at the ridge line of the Santa Monica Mountains.

I had been meaning to hike there, but had never managed to get there. It turns out I had been missing a delightful area where there were plenty of relatively shady trails and restful views. This is looking towards the dam at Century Lake, from the Lookout Trail.

If many of the nearby scenes look familiar, that is probably because the park has been used in many movies and TV shows, including MASH.

Best viewed as part of Los Angeles set.
