Dinky fly and extraordinary luck

This little beastie was something under a quarter-inch long. The day is breezy and the limb to which this leaf was attached was all over the place. I was shooting using a 50mm Nikkor enlarging lens at the spout end of a focusing extension tube contraption I cobbled together. It was stopped down to f8, so I could barely see, let alone focus. The result is a demonstration of the occasional triumph of pure, dumb luck.
