Zaz, Thomas Dutronc, Yvan Cujious make a facelift for old Romance******

Created by Charles Trenet (inter 1930 and 1940), This old Lady is always "in the wind".......

They'd only been in love for two days ; sometimes,

There's happiness in sorrow,

But now that they were in love,

Their destiny was no longer unhappy.

They lived with a lovely dream,

And that dream was as blue as the angels.

Their love was a true springtime

As pure as their tender twenties.

Chorus:

It blooms on street corners.

It puts in the hearts of lovers

A kind of dream and blue sky.

This sweet refrain from our suburbs

Speaks so sweetly of love

That everyone adores it.

They felt at home in the suburbs.

They'd leave at the end of the week,

Into the woods, to pick lilies of the valley,

Or on a boat to sail.

They also drank, in the ‘’guinguettes’’

The white wine that makes your head spin,

And when they kissed, yes,

Every dancing couple would say :

Je ne l'avais entendue qu'une ou deux fois et j'avais bien aimé.... J'aime toujours cette tendresse à la fois enveloppante et dégagée, qui n'étouffe pas, c'est rare. Et il est entouré de "belles pointures" de la chanson, ce qui ne gâte rien............. Une jolie pépite à réécouter*******

A very romantic collage with very well chosen and presented images. I particularly like the silhouetted couple and the view of the Eiffel Tower. The collage looks splendid in black and white with a stunning splash of yellow colour.
