By October 1968 the Birch Bros 203 service had been cut to run between Rushden and Welwyn only but still running every hour. However on Saturdays and Sundays there was one trip into London and one out. Likewise in the evening there was one trip into London and one out. The journey times were the same for the 203 in 1954 and 1968.
This is the Saturday timetable. The Sunday timetable was broadly similar but with slightly later starting. The Monday to Friday timetable was virtually the same pattern but only north of Welwyn.

Each company provided one coach each day which in July and August did a round trip otherwise the coaches stayed away from home on alternate nights. When I travelled on the service in May 1969, a day when there was just one trip each way, the drivers changed over at Cavan each returning to their respective home base driving the other company's coach. I recall seeing a photograph in 'Buses' (or 'Buses Illustrated') magazine at some point which showed a CIÉ coach working a late afternoon Ulsterbus local service out of Belfast having been 'borrowed' after arriving from Galway earlier in the day.

East Yorkshire Motor Services summer 1964 timetable for services 10/10A between Scarborough and Bridlington. My childhood holidays staying with Grandparents and family in Scarborough always involved a ride to Cayton Village to see my Great Aunts on this service. On one occasion one of my Aunties took me on that Mondays only service boarding on Seamer Road (near the Plaxtons factory) for the journey to Cayton Village. United Automobile Services also ran their Scarborough-Bridlington service 111 which competed with EYMS.

United Automobile Services timetables - Service 111 (Scarborough-Cayton-Filey-Bridlington) and 112 (Scarborough-Staxton-Filey). My Great Aunts lived at Cayton Village but rarely used the United bus. They were staunch supporters of the competing East Yorkshire service 10/10A.
