Robinson based in the Cambridgeshire village of Kimbolton has an admirably well presented coach fleet. In 1927 Stanley Robinson started a car and cycle repair business in Kimbolton and was operating a coach and taxi prior to 1939. Friday 19 May 1989 - Robinson’s Coaches of Kimbolton WEW 215T, a Duple Dominant bodied Bedford SB5 new in September 1978. ‘Bus Lists on the Web’ states that this coach was originally ordered by Hebridean Transport of Stornoway. By this time the once familiar SB layout of the 41 seater coach was in its twilight years on the British mainland.

Saturday 25 November 2017 (1046) – Coaches setting down visitors for the Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fayre. Robinson’s of Kimbolton BV66 GVR, a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo new in September 2016; Saffords Coaches of Great Gransden TIL 5417, an Irizar i6 new to Whitestar Coaches, Neilston in January 2013 registered YN62 DXW (had also carried registration number WSC 267 with Whitestar); Milestone Coaches of Canvey Island RE07 ANN, a Beulas Cygnus bodied MAN new to Eagre Coaches, Morton, Gainsborough in March 2007 and a Phillips Coaches of South Woodham Ferrers Bova Futura.

Sunday 7 August 2022 – It had been quite a while since I stopped by at the premises of Robinsons of Kimbolton but all there was to see were these two vehicles.
All white Mercedes-Benz Tourismo BL16 GCU was first registered by EvoBus, the Mercedes-Benz company in the UK, in August 2016.
SK07 CFO, a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE that had been new to Lothian Buses (141) in May 2007.

Sunday 7 August 2022 – Robinsons of Kimbolton SK07 CFO, a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE that had been new to Lothian Buses (141) in May 2007, seen at the yard in Kimbolton.
Note the adhesive panel on the rearmost window ‘Robinsons Budgens of Kimbolton’. The Robinson building on Thrapston Road in Kimbolton features an automobile engineers workshop providing car repair and MOT testing services. There had also been a petrol filling station now closed which included a small village shop. In February 2014 the business diversified into retail with part of the premises becoming a Budgens franchised convenience store serving the people of Kimbolton and a wide catchment area of small villages.
