The two Arriva the Shires buses are working in opposite directions of service 321 with (left) 3895 (KX11 OSG) working to Luton. It is a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE new in August 2011. Heading to Maple Cross is 3653 (LK14 FTC), a Wright StreetLite DF new in July 2014. Both buses work out of Luton garage. I had just travelled on Red Eagle Buses Limited 33 (YY15 GDK) from Marshalswick as it worked the 1000 trip of St. Albans town service S6. It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D new to Central Taxis, Felling in May 2015. Standing ahead of that is Sullivan Buses E59 (LK08 DXW) taking a break between trips on service 84 which runs to Potters Bar. It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 bodied Trident that had been new to Metroline (TE884) in July 2008. In the distance (right) are two Arriva buses and another Red Eagle bus.

Friday 8 September 2023 (1028) – St. Peter’s Street, St. Albans I had just travelled on Red Eagle Buses Limited 33 (YY15 GDK) from Marshalswick as it worked the 1000 trip of St. Albans town service S6. It an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D new to Central Taxis, Felling in May 2015. Standing ahead of that is Sullivan Buses E59 (LK08 DXW) taking a break between trips on service 84 which runs to Potters Bar. It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 bodied Trident that had been new to Metroline (TE884) in July 2008. Completing the scene is an Arriva single decker working service 301 to Stevenage (Lister Hospital).

Friday 8 September 2023 (1254) – Welwyn Garden City Bus Station with two Arriva buses and two Unō (Universitybus Limited) buses on site. On the stand is Arriva 3557 (KX09 GYG), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300 new in September 2009, working the 1155 service 301 from St. Albans to Stevenage and Lister Hospital. The Arriva bus just arriving was 3768 (LT63 UNM), a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE new in September 2013), working the 1110 service 302 from Hemel Hempstead which should have got here at 1235. (and then return as the 1240 service which it didn’t as it parked up on The Campus a few minutes later). The tracker on the Bus Times website seemed to show that it ran out of service via the A414 to Adeyfield (Laverstock Green Road) timed there at 1355 (five minutes later that the service timetable). It then covered the 1430 service 302 from Hemel Hempstead to Welwyn Garden City (which appears to be what the duty regularly does). The double decker is Unō (Universitybus Limited) 257 (YX67 VFY), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D new in September 2017, working service 601 to Borehamwood. A Unō (Universitybus Limited) single decker stands beyond.
