Saturday 29 July 2023 (1026) – Wearing the livery of Shearings Holidays, Bayliss Executive Travel of Eythorne, Kent V300 BAY was seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills heading eastbound on the A11. It is a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo that was new in April 2017 to National Holidays registered NH17 JFH.

Sunday 25 September 1994– Badgerline 136 (L136 TFB), a Plaxton Verde bodied Dennis Lance new in February 1994, at Showbus, Duxford. Badgerline was a former National Bus Company subsidiary which was privatised in 1986 and went on to become a constituent of FirstBus in 1995.

Sunday 26 September 1993 – Badgerline 207 (L207 SHW), a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart new in September 1993, at Showbus, Duxford. Badgerline was a former National Bus Company subsidiary which was privatised in 1986 and went on to become a constituent of FirstBus in 1995.

Sunday 21 September 1997 – FirstBus owned vehicles at Showbus, Duxford. Left: Bristol Omnibus Company Limited (lettered Badgerline), PSU 527 is a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M-61 which I believe was fleet number 2510 and originally registered D510 HHW. New in June 1987. Right: Yorkshire Rider (lettered Bradford Traveller) 5515 (D515 HUB), an Optare bodied Leyland Olympian new in February 1987.

Saturday 29 April 2000 – Berry’s Coaches of Taunton, England R202 WYD, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new in May 1998, seen in Grote Markt, Poperinge, Belgium during a brief and quite early sightseeing stop. Quite possibly on a World War 1 battlefields type tour and perhaps the first call of the day in Flanders after arriving in Belgium. The window label shows it to be on a ‘Newmarket Holidays’ tour, This London based tour operator didn’t have a connection with the town of Newmarket, England.

Saturday 29 April 2000 – Berry’s Coaches of Taunton, England R202 WYD, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new in May 1998, seen in Grote Markt, Poperinge, Belgium during a brief and quite early sightseeing stop. Quite possibly on a World War 1 battlefields type tour and perhaps the first call of the day in Flanders after arriving in Belgium. The car on the right was owned by the proprietors of Hotel Amfora. My wife and I liked to visit Poperinge and to particularly stay at Amfora. It was a bolt hole for me in the busy 1990s where I could relax and happily sit on the front patio watching everything go by sipping a Hommelbier! Thanks to the proprietors Stef and Carmen for the ambiance and hospitality. They moved on but our memories have stayed with us.

Saturday 4 May 1991 – Biss Brothers Coaches was based in Bishop’s Stortford where this coach was seen parked in the bus and coach lay-by in Bridge Street between trips on a local service despite the legend on the front panel. KBH 860V is a Plaxton Supreme bodied Leyland Leopard new in March 1980. During the late 1960s/early 1970s Biss Brothers pioneered a regular service between London and Athens.

Thursday 22 October 1989 – The Omni manufactured by CVE (City Vehicle Engineering) at Shildon, County Durham was an interesting and unusual design built under licence from Steyr Motors Betriebs of Austria. This example (F259 WAJ) was new to Amber Valley Community Transport in March 1989

Saturday 20 May 1998 (0820) – Bakers Dolphin of Weston-super-Mare 47 (NIL 5382), a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M, seen at Fiveways, Barton Mills heading westbound.

October 1998 – Anderson Tours, Bermondsey, London R187 LBC had overnighted at the Riverside Hotel in Mildenhall. It is a Caetano Optimo bodied Toyota Coaster that was new in October 1997.

Sunday 8 September 1991 – Geoff Amos Coaches of Eydon Daventry, Northamptonshire Bova Futura XAM 109A seen taking a morning coffee break at the Breckland Lodge Motel at Attleborough. This family owned business closed down during 2011.

Thursday 29 April 1999 – Geoff Amos Coaches of Eydon near Daventry, Northamptonshire 50 (A140 TNV), a Duple Dominant bus bodied Bedford YNT new in September 1983, seen in Banbury bus station. This family owned business closed down during 2011.
