A quick fire shot taken from across the Shell forecourt as I was concentrating on a different coach. I almost performed a pirouette as it caught my eye!

Wednesday 20 May 2026 (0830) – Transport Made Simple/Konnectbuses 456 (AN61 BUS) seen in High Street, Walton-on-the-Naze when working the 0756 service 7 from Clacton-on-Sea to The Naze. It is a Scania K230UB OmniLink that was new to Anglian Bus (440) in October 2011. Anglian Bus was absorbed by fellow Go-Ahead owned Konectbus in November 2017. In late September 2025 the Go-Ahead Group sold its Go East Anglia operations to TMS. That purchase included the Konectbus brand (in Norfolk) and the Konectbuses brand (in Essex and Suffolk). The latter had only been created a short time before when Go Ahead had merged its Hedingham and Chambers businesses owned for a number of years and managed by Konectbus. In ‘Buses’ magazine June 2026 it was reported that TMS would be rebranding its various East Anglian operations under the Central Connect name. This bus wears the Central Connect blue livery with the Konectbus name and legal address.

Wednesday 20 May 2026 (0830) – Transport Made Simple/Konnectbuses 456 (AN61 BUS) seen in High Street, Walton-on-the-Naze when working the 0756 service 7 from Clacton-on-Sea to The Naze. Tuesday 19 May 2026 (approx. 0816) – The Essex County Council ‘ugobus’ operation provides tailored transport for adults and children to day care centres, special schools etc. Mercedes-Benz minibus KN23 MFK seen in Walton-on-the-Naze following Transport Made Simple/Konectbus/Konnectbuses 249 (LX13 CZC) working the 0812 service 7 from The Naze to Clacton-on-Sea. It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D that was new to Stagecoach owned East London Bus (36560) in August 2013.

Monday 18 May 2026 (1153) – The Park and Ride service in Colchester is worked by Arriva Southern Counties. In this view taken at the Park and Ride site to the north of the city the bus on the right, 4122 (SN67 WUL), is one of the branded Alexander Dennis Enviro200D MMC buses new in September 2017. The bus on the left is 4059 (GN09 AXO), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200 bodied Dart new in July 2009, which was parked out of service.

In this view taken at the Park and Ride site to the north of the city 4125 (SN67 WUP) was arriving from the city centre and was seen from on board 4122 (SN67 WUL) which was about to leave. Both are branded for the Park and Ride service and are Alexander Dennis Enviro200D MMC buses new in September 2017. (The cars were not parked on the bus roof! They were on a car transporter parked beyond).

Friday 15 May 2026 (0929) – A general scene at Drummer Street Bus Station, Cambridge. Three Stagecoach East double deckers are in the shot, one of which (19698) wears the most recent dark blue scheme. The other two carry the local services colours. Furthest from the camera is an all white bus of A2B Travel Group.

Friday 15 May 2026 (0930) – Stagecoach East 19586 (AE10 BWX), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400 bodied Trident new in April 2010, seen in Drummer Street Bus Station, Cambridge just before departure as the 0930 service 4 to Cambourne.

Friday 15 May 2016 (1316) – Stagecoach East buses at work in Cambridge. Left: 10809 (SN66 WBF), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D MMC, had just pulled out of the bus station. When new in January 2017 it carried the orange livery then used for the Newmarket Road Park and Ride service. At the time each of the five Park and Ride sites had buses in different overall colours. Before arriving with Stagecoach East (Cambus) a number of those new buses, 10809 included, were temporarily assigned to Stagecoach Merseyside (Glenvale) to provide increased capacity during railway engineering works on the Merseyrail Wirral line. Right: 86005 (BV23 NRK), is one of the thirty MCV bodied Volvo BZL electric double deckers new in April 2023 introduced for the Park and Ride services. These all carry the same livery, the different colours now appear in the lettering of the destination displays. I travelled on 86005 back to Newmarket Road. (The bus in the background is also one of the same batch of thirty). .
