TMS/Konectbuses 872 (PN09 EMK) in Bury St. Edmunds - 13 Nov 2025 (P1220674)

Thursday 13 November 2025 (1111) – In late September 2025 the Go-Ahead Group sold its Go East Anglia operations to Transport Made Simple (TMS). The purchase included the Konectbus brand (in Norfolk) and the Konectbuses brand (in Essex and Suffolk). The latter had only been created a short time before the sale when Go Ahead merged its Hedingham and Chambers businesses which had been owned for some years and managed by Konectbus. At the same time several changes were made to services and service numbers.

Chambers has operated from Bury St. Edmunds to Sudbury and Colchester for decades (as service 743 which recently was re-numbered 43). It has been supplemented with a new service numbered 42 operating from Bury St. Edmunds to Sudbury and Braintree.

872 (PN09 EMK), an Optare Olympus bodied Scania N230UD new to Metrobus (883) in July 2009, is seen in St. Andrew’s Street South, Bury St. Edmunds working the 1105 service to Braintree.
