Stephensons of Essex 494 (YX63 KFJ) in Bury St. Edmunds - 21 May 2025 (P1210120)

Wednesday 21 May 2025 (1332) – The five through bays of Bury St. Edmunds bus station handle the departures of the one town service operated by Stephensons of Essex (Breeze BR1) and the seven town services operated by Mulleys Motorways (M11-M55/M77-M88 – there is no M66).

Stephensons 494 (YX63 KFJ), an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro200D new in September 2013 to Nottingham City Transport (394), is seen leaving the bays when working their cross town service BR1 from the Mildenhall Road/Howard Estates to West Suffolk Hospital/Nowton Estate. The total service operates hourly Mondays to Fridays only from 0909 to 1527. This is the last remnant of the range of ‘Breeze’ services launched by Stephensons in Bury St. Edmunds in October 2011.

Services to out of town destinations and neighbouring towns depart from nine nose in bays on the left where a Stevensons East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94 is standing between trips on the service from and to Haverhill. (Possibly 647 (YN55 NKL) about to work the 1345 service 14).
