Saturday 7 September 1996 (approx. 1355) – East Yorkshire Motor Services/Scarborough and District 448 (K448 RRH), a Plaxton bodied Mercedes-Benz O 709D new in seen outside Boyes Department Store in Queen Street, Scarborough.

One of my father’s cousins (Miss Ann Tasker) was a manager at the company in the 1950s/1960s and when we were on holiday in Scarborough we would pop in to the store to have a word. She was always very smartly dressed in a two-piece lady’s suit with a crisp blouse. Her work included driving to the Boyes stores in other towns such as York etc.
