Former Burnley, Colne & Nelson JTC 73 (FHG 573E) and 70 (FHG 570E) at Showbus – 21 Sep 1997 (371-22)

Sunday 21 September 1997 – Showbus, Duxford

Two preserved East Lancs bodied Leyland Tiger Cub single deckers that were originally new to Burnley, Colne and Nelson Joint Transport Committee (BCN) in March 1967.

Left is 73 (FHG 573E) and right is 70 (FHG 570E). They were from a batch of four numbered 70-73 (FHG 570-573E).

Local government re-organisation from 1 April 1974 resulted in the amalgamation of the boroughs of Colne and Nelson to become the Borough of Pendle thus the title of the undertaking changed from being Burnley, Colne and Nelson Joint Transport Committee to Burnley and Pendle Joint Transport
