Bus stop in Ely - 19 Oct 2022 ( P1130792)

Wednesday 19 October 2022 (1046) – Stagecoach East bus stop and service display in Market Street, Ely. The camera has failed to capture the display clearly which shows the next service 9 to Littleport (at 1130) but sadly shows that the 1200 service 39 to Chatteris, March and Westry as cancelled.

During mid-September 2022 Stagecoach East announced its intention to withdraw quite a number of bus services which it said were no longer commercially sustainable. Service 39 is one such service that will cease after operation on Saturday 29 October 2022.

(According to the tracker on the Bus Times website the bus that operated the Littlepprt service was 10797 (SN66 VZV), a bus in Babraham Park & Ride livery).
