Stagecoach East 13909 (BU69 XYK) at Histon & Impington - 1 Sep 2022 (P1130207)

Thursday 1 September 2022 (1227) – Stagecoach East 13909 (BU69 XYK), one of twelve 98 seat Alexander Dennis Enviro400XLB bodied Volvo B8L tri-axle double deckers delivered in December 2019, seen at the Cambridge (eastbound) bound platform at Histon and Impington on the The Cambridgeshire Guided Busway.

It was working the 1116 Busway service B from Hinchingbrooke Hospital to Cambridge (Drummer Street bus station) and was having a much easier time than the previous (1056) departure which was running about 15 minutes late. That service only passed through about five minutes before.

Just behind the camera is where the public road crosses the Busway and further back is the westbound platform. In the foreground of this photograph the metal beams that guide the buses to the main concrete track can be seen. The car traps across the Busway tracks to prevent access by small vehicles can be seen.
