The Shires IAZ 4037 (VRP 532S) and RDS 84W at Showbus, Duxford – 22 Sep 1996 (330-00)

Sunday 22 September 1996 – The Shires (LDT Limited) entered a number of buses at Showbus, Duxford.

LN532 (IAZ 4037), a Leyland National new to United Counties in August 1977 as their 532 registered VRP 532S. The longevity of this particular bus was due to it having been experimentally been fitted with a Volvo engine along with some other modifications. (Network Watford branding)

359 (RDS 84W), a Duple Dominant bus bodied Volvo B58 new to Hutchison, Overtown in September 1980. This bus along with RDS 83W came to LDT with the acquisition of the business of Buffalo, Flitwick in 1990. Now used for driver training.
