Marshall bodied Leyland Tiger in London – 22 April 1993 (190-23)

Thursday 22 April 1993 (0943) – The Ministry of Defence purchased Leyland Tigers with bodywork by different builders. This one carries a Marshall ‘Campaigner’ body and was seen crossing Piccadilly at Piccadilly Circus, London.

In later years in times of heightened security personnel were carried in vehicles that looked every part a civilian vehicle with a civilian registration number but in times past many vehicles carried military series registrations. Different non-military looking colour schemes were also used to make the vehicles less obvious when out and about.

A276 HBY may have once carried a military series registration. It would have been new circa 1981/1982.
