Williams 299 DWW near Sowerby Bridge – 11 Sep 1988 (74-24)

Sunday 11 September 1988 – A Mercedes-Benz O 303 photographed making the climb from Sowerby Bridge to Halifax near Crow Wood Park. The name Williams is carried and a cherished registration perhaps reflecting the owners initials but I never identified the actual owner.

Note how the bus shelter is constructed at an angle to fit the contour of the footpath. However, I suspect if there was a biting wind (with rain no doubt) coming in from the lovely landscape in the background I suspect the shelter wasn’t of much practical use!
