Maundy Thursday 9 April 1998 (1709) – Sovereign Bus and Coach Company Limited 501 (P501 VRO) seen in Welwyn Garden City bus station loading for the 1719 service 338 to St. Albans. It is a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart new in June 1997.

Sovereign also operated as the Welwyn Hatfield Line with buses wearing red rather than blue livery as exemplified by Wright Crusader bodied Volvo B6LE 608 (R608 CNM) in the background. Sovereign was part of the Blazefield Group at the time.
