Leroy (P J Brown) of Barway Q856 MEV (CHA 425K) in Mildenhall – 1 Nov 1994 (245-17)

Tuesday 1 November 1994 – Leroy (P J Brown) of Barway Q856 MEV seen turning from Wamil Way to Queensway, Mildenhall. At the time school buses serving Riverside Middle School did so via the very narrow Wamil Way.

There were very ‘Q’ registered buses and coaches. During 1985 the chassis of this vehicle was rebuilt by Ensign having been new as CHA 425K, a Leyland Leopard new to Midland Red (6425) in November 1971 fitted with a dual purpose Willowbrook body.

The chassis was sold to Southend Transport and fitted with a new Berkhof Espirite coach body as carried here (Southend fleet number 254).
