Rider York 8403 (M403 UUB) seen near York University – 7 Feb 1996 (301-20)

Wednesday 7 February 1996 – Rider York (part of Yorkshire Rider) 8403 (M403 UUB), an Alexander Strider bodied Scania L113CRL new in August 1994, seen near Heslington Hall adjacent to York University.

The three red lines at the rear are a stylised ‘YR’, the centre line serving a dual role to both letters. The logo beneath the cab window is ‘RY’ for Rider York which is composed using the same type of lettering but the characters don’t sit together in the same way as the ‘YR’ format and therefore are two distinct letters.
