Nottingham 401 (N401 ARA) and Mainline 747 (N247 CKY) at Showbus, Duxford – 22 Sep 1996 (330-22)

Left is Nottingham City Transport 401 (N401 ARA), a Northern Counties bodied Dennis Arrow new in April 1996. In what I have read, this bus seems to have suffered an identity crisis. I read that it was delivered as a Dennis Lance but that model name was more associated with a single deck model and so it was christened a Dennis Arrow. It was delivered with registration N396 WVO but that was changed – creatively ‘ARA’ is a bit like ‘arrer’!

Right is Mainline Sheffield 747 (N247 CKY), an Alexander PS bodied Volvo B10M-55 new in March 1996.
