In the centre of tis photograph is The City of Oxford Motor Services Limited 162 (UJI 1762) lettered for service X90 which links London and Oxford. It is a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M that had been new to Shearings Holidays as their 960 in March 1991 registered H960 DRJ.

Flanking the above are two Plaxton Expressliner bodied Volvo B10M coaches of contractors working for National Express. They both wear the ‘Shuttle’ branding, one of a range of different brandings used by National Express at the time. That on the left is Stagecoach owned Premier Travel 448 (N448 XVA) lettered for the Cambridge-London 010 service. It was new in August 1995.

On the right is Skill’s of Nottingham N50 SLK lettered for the Brighton-London 025 service. This vehicle and the operation of service 025 had in recent months been transferred to Skill’s from National Express owned Speedlink Air Services.
