Preserved KLB 596 as Brown's Blue - 27 Jul 2019 (P1030291)

Saturday 27 July 2019 (1205) – Leicester Heritage Bus Running Day at the First Leicester Citybus garage.

Brown’s Blue Coaches was based in Markfield and ran regular bus services from there to neighbouring towns including one to Leicester. In late 1958 several Park Royal bodied AEC RT class double deckers were acquired from London Transport and lasted until the company was sold to Midland Red in March 1963. None of the former Brown’s RTs survive but Mick Gamble owns KLB 596 which represents the era that the type operated with Brown’s.
