Eastern Counties Omnibus Company HVR334 (KKE 734N) in Norwich – 9 Aug 1993

Eastern Counties Omnibus Company HVR334 (KKE 734N) in Norwich – 9 Aug 1993
Monday 9 August 1993 – The Eastern Counties Omnibus Company had standardised on the Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR for its double deck fleet for many years with its final new VRs arriving in late 1981. After that the company bought a number of secondhand models from various sources four of which were of the higher body type that had been new to Maidstone and District in the summer of 1975. Being four inches higher than other ECOC VRs (which were always prefixed as the ‘VR’ class) the four high body models were prefixed ‘HVR’ and to further differentiate them from the others they sported white roof tops. HVR334 (KKE 734N), new in June 1975, is seen in St. Stephen’s Street, Norwich.
