Huddersfield JOC 107 (BCX 107B) in Bradford – Mar 1974

Huddersfield JOC 107 (BCX 107B) in Bradford – Mar 1974
March 1974 – Huddersfield Joint Omnibus Committee 107 (BCX 107B), a Roe bodied Daimler CVG6 new in February 1964, seen in Bradford city centre close to the Town Hall (City Hall) which is visible behind the bus. The Bradford City Transport bus visible on the right is in Town Hall Street (later renamed Channing Way).

This location has been redesigned since the photograph was taken to create the Centenary Square development area. The bus was standing where the Mirror Pool was built almost 30 years later. Today it would be surrounded by water!
On 1 April 1974 the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (WYPTE) came into being absorbing Bradford City Transport, Leeds City Transport, the Calderdale Joint Omnibus Committee and the Huddersfield Joint Omnibus Committee.
