DSCF4764 Walsall Corporation XDH 56G - 'Buses Festival' 21 Aug 2016

Sunday 21 August 2016 – Former Walsall Corporation 56 (XDH 56G) was a revolutionary Northern Counties bodied Daimler Fleetline CRC6-36 fitted with two passenger doors and two staircases. Looking towards the rear staircase on the upper deck. The engine was positioned longitudinally in the rear offside corner. Built in 1968 it was exhibited at the Earls Court Commercial Motor Show in September 1968. I went on it then and I went on it again today some 48 years later! A participant at the ‘Buses Festival’ held at the National Motor Museum, Gaydon organised by ‘Buses’ magazine.
