Burtons Coaches T50 BCL (99 D 42 (Ireland) and V337 DBD) at Saffron Walden - 29 March 2006 (556-29)
Wednesday 29 March 2006 - Burtons Coaches T50 BCL seen in Saffron Walden having worked the 1615 service 32 from Cambridge which would return from here at 1728. The Saffron Walden terminus was located in Station Street (albeit further down from where the bus is parked). The Railway pub stands on the corner of Station Street and Station Road however the last time trains ran through the town was in 1964.

An Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident which had had an interesting past. It started life with Dublin Bus in Ireland in 1999 when the company was evaluating its options for future vehicle purchases and carried fleet number DL2 (99 D 42). Within about six months it passed to Alan Martin Coaches in Dublin. It then passed to Dawson Rentals in the United Kingdom and took registration number V337 DBD. When Burtons acquired the bus they applied select registration T50 BCL.
