DSCF9860 Summit Station on the Great Orme Tramway

Wednesday 24 June 2015 - Great Orme Tramway Summit Station. The tramway operates in two sections with passengers transferring from cars on the lower section to cars on the upper section at Halfway Station. On the upper section the running rails resemble railway type tracks with turnouts at the passing place. The two drawing cables are fully exposed unlike the lower section where the cables are housed in conduit rails. Arriva Cymru 834 (X274 RFF), a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart MPD, is leaving the car park returning to Llandudno on service 26.
