Garlic in Flower?

Garlic in Flower?
Positive ID would be welcome! I suspect garlic as there is one beside each rose bush in a couple of flower beds. I rmember reading that garlic planted beside roses would keep bugs at bay, but of course I can't remember what else I may have planted as bulbs in those beds!

Looks like an allium of sorts will know better as it develops. It's a great shot!

My concern is that if it is garlic, I should be cutting the flower off to let the cloves develop. If it is an Allium, but not garlic, eating the bulb could be fatal!
I must trawl through my emails to see what I may have ordered...

Crikey! More research. Didn't realise that you planted it. At least you should be able to find out what it is.
