Norman "wall fence" - HFF
The building behind the apple tree houses a display of an old press, used to extract apple juice and produce cider. What's interesting here is that the beams have been left "bare", making it look like a fence: on the base made of stone are mounted the posts whose framework is normally filled with cob (made of clay soil and plant fibres, wheat or barley straw and even hay). Here the building shows its "skeleton".

Very nice composition and colours
I again wondered if I had been to this one, but now. I do have pictures of similar buildings from further south which I must find.. But as we have said many times before, the same culture will build the same type of structures.
Best Wishes, (very late) HFF, a nice week ahead, and stay safe!!
