Thanks Peter. I checked at once and found the Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth: indeed, these are very similar limestone arches as in Etretat.

Very interesting picture! I looked at this place on the map and found a huge number of panoramas. I looked almost half of them and got a stunning impression! A vast shoal is exposed there at low tide, and this is represent even greater interest. Also, a curiosity about some things I saw, appeared, but I'll probably postpone these questions for later, as I foresee that searching for answers can take a lot of time.. Thank you for the fascinating excursion! YS!

Thanks for your interest, Serge. It is indeed an amazing coast with the high limestone cliffs. Especially Etretat is famous with its "Aiguille Creuse" (which you see in the back): the "Hollow Needle" is a novel by Maurice Leblanc featuring the adventures of the gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin. Hope you have a good week as well.

Danke Percy. Ja, alles was man von diesem Platz an der Strandpromenade sieht, ist wirklich ein tolles Fotomotiv. Das gleiche Foto habe ich übrigens auch ohne Laterne, aber es erschien mir so leer - also nur ein paar Schritte zurück, und ich finde, es sieht gleich viel besser aus....

Eine tolle Landschaft und eine ausgezeichnete Komposition!

J'ai à peu près la même image, prise peu avant le jour de l'An. Le cadrage est horizontal et il y a deux jeunes assis face à la mer. Mais ta lumière est plus jolie.

Merci Jean-Luc. Oui, je sais, tu préfères les photos avec des personnes ;-). Quant à moi, je favorise des vues "nature"... Et effectivement, cette lumière de début de soirée en mai est réellement "magique". Bon dimanche.

We enjoyed our visit to Normandy very much - the food, the scenery, the D-Day area, were all amazing.
