A superb shot Doug and a beautiful portrait. Lovely pin sharp detail. We don't see many of them here these days. They used to arrive in large numbers like hooligans gatecrashing a party, making a lot of noise and even more mess before moving on! They even used the small wall mounted water feature as a bird bath and clogged it up so many times the pump refused to work! They are beautiful birds though, especially when their colours glisten in the sunlight.

If birds could be given ASBOs then then starlings would certainly be the top recipients! Thanks so much for your visit and kind comment Carol.

Sharp as a pin, Steve, and looking especially good against that blurry background. He looks well fledged but hasn't got the iridescence in the plumage yet.
