Pilzwelt im Winter (2) - Mushroom world in winter (2)

Ende Dezember 2022 fand ich an einer gefällten Eiche diesen geschätzten Speisepilz, den viele von der Gemüseabteilung in Geschäften her kennen, nämlich den Austern-Seitling oder Austernpilz (Pleurotus ostreatus). Diese Pilzart weist zwei Besonderheiten auf:
1. Der Fruchtkörper bildet sich erst bei tieferen Temperaturen (+10 bis -2 °C), also bei Wintertemperaturen.
2. Der Pilz ernährt sich nicht nur von faulendem pflanzlichen Material, sondern auch von Bakterien und Fadenwürmern im Boden (!). Näheres im Wikipedia-Artikel. Den Fangmechanismus zeigt das Video.

At the end of December 2022, on a felled oak tree, I found this popular edible mushroom that many know from the vegetable section of shops, namely the Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). This type of mushroom has two special features:
1. the fruiting body only forms at lower temperatures (+10 to -2 °C), i.e. at winter temperatures.
2. the fungus feeds not only on decaying plant material, but also on bacteria and nematodes in the soil (!). For more details, see the Wikipedia article. The catch mechanism is shown in the video.
