Justizpalast - Palace of justice

The building of the Berlin Regional Court is located at Littenstr. 12. The architectural feature is the 30.5 metre high entrance hall with columns of red and green sandstone and with coloured knight motifs on the ground floor and in the staircase. Many of the original tiles with the crown as a royal emblem are still present in the hall floor. The style that characterises the overall impression of the hall with its curved twin spiral staircases and the golden decorative elements of the ceiling is Art Nouveau in a style inspired by the neo-Baroque style.
